The Event Woman.
At her former university, Bryant University, Lauren was the Events Director for its Global Entrepreneurship Program. In this role, she directed one of the world’s largest elevator pitch competitions, with over a hundred competing teams and business leader attendees, judges, and speakers from as far away as California.
She feels extremely grateful and lucky to have received grants for travel to some of the world’s most intellectually enthralling conferences & events. For example: the Entertainment Gathering, Consumer Electronics Show, and the United States Association of Small Businesses & Entrepreneurship.
The Leader of Night Owls.
Her Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization won “Best Chapter in the World” at the CEO Conference, out of over 200 chapters! Furthermore, Lauren was extremely honored to become the first sophomore ever to receive the “Best Collegiate Entrepreneur Leader” award, out of 1,600 entrepreneurial college students.
The Person.
She thinks the best way to spend 60 seconds is free falling from 10,000 feet in the air. She watches TED.com like it’s television. She’s coached a volleyball team from zero wins to a state championship. She gets her best ideas from classical music and showers. Lauren is passionate about entrepreneurship, education, economic development, micro-financing, event-production, networking, research, and mentorship. In her “free” time, she interviews entrepreneurs like Steve Wozniak (co-founder of Apple), Dr. Pete Worden (Director, NASA Ames), Tim Ferriss (best-selling author, 4 Hour Work Week), and David Pogue (NY Times Tech Columnist).
